Because you’re both running an anti-virus that detected FiveM files as a virus so it deleted FiveM
I’ve had fiveM since June 2017 and this is the first time I’ve had this happen, and nothing happened because I haven’t ran an antivirus scan between the last time I played. My friend’s game is still there, but he has a “downloading of” error now constantly
The anti-virus blacklists change all the time
Anti-virus software actively scans files in the background. This is what triggered it.

I also specifically set both of our antivirus programs (we both have malwarebytes) to both bother 5m
try disabling them and try it again.
