So I was looking to get FiveM and was wondering if i need to get the Steam version of GTAV or can I get the Version that isn’t through the steam store. I was wondering because you can find the rockstar version for like half the price, then spending the full 60 on the steam version, because I was only going to be using FiveM to play Multiplayer. Thanks!
you don´t need the steam version 
I got the retail version and it´s working 
For servers that say steam is required also just means that you need to have steam running, not the steam versiom
