Game crashes because it can't load models

#1

My game crashes pretty often and on all servers, when it tries to load in a streamed model and shows the following: CfxCollection::ReadBulk of streaming file [model name to replace and so on]

#2

This means the server has a corrupt car file or something. just keep trying on other servers, they come up almost every day.

#3

In that case, how are other players able to play on there?

#4

Am not sure. Do you have the legitimate game of GTA V.

#5

Yes I do, on steam.

#6

Well. Let’s see. Try to connect to it again if not then try again. Lol.
Am not sure has not happens to me before.

OK, this maybe a server problem. Not yours. Is not downloading the file fast enough to read the file while it connects…
Try a other server or tell the server owner to change the car model.

#10

It’s a server problem.

#11

@Boss It can’t be, because no one else has it. No one.

#12

Oke, so then it’s not? It has to do with the connection between you and the server.

Also, please remove dinput8.dll from your GTA V folder.

#13

Said server probably is using the built-in web server of the server application - this one is not capable of handling the load caused by large-scale resource loading.

Servers should set up resource offloading as demonstrated in the example .yml file to a separate HTTP server to prevent this issue.

@leaf Is there a more detailed guide on how to set that up for us people not so technically inclined? If not- perhaps you could share on how to actually set it up?
