Server not visible

Hi,

First off I’ve search this forum dry and also tried my luck at google. But still I’m unable to see my server in the in-game list or on the https://servers.fivereborn.com. I’m on a windows server 2012 R2 64 bit platform. Both protocol UDP/TCP are open on 30120 and tests positive on http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/. I can join the server both on wan and lan through direct connect. Even my friends don’t see my server in any of the list, but are able to join via direct connect. Everything works fine regarding the game, I’ve tried disabling any firewall on my network and triple check everything. I’ve even tried it on a windows 10 64 bit system, and last night I went for the Ubuntu approach, but in both cases the same outcome. No visibility! So dear moderators/developers and fellow people reading this. If u know something I don’t in this matter, please help me out. What am I missing.-

Someone create a tool that looks up servers that I found in this forum. When I run the different applications I actually get a hit on my IP and server. It even list’s the players on my server http://five-serverlist.com/api/playerlist.php?ip=... and http://five-serverlist.com/api/monitor_graphic.php?ip=...

I’ve downloaded the latest server version from last night 15. November 2016 from http://updater.fivereborn.com/server/server.7z
I’ve left every setting default except changed the Hostname and dobbelt checked the Announce is set to true.

Do note it updates every 5 minutes :confused: It’s not real time

@kanersps Thanks for quick answer. Trust me I know. The server has been up for minimum 72 hours. I’ve been fighting with this issue for the past 2 weeks. So it’s a 100% with out a doubt not a matter of 5 minutes delay/update time.

Do you have the latest server? …

  1. Make sure you server is running
  2. Go to canyouseeme.org
  3. Fill in 30120
  4. Hit “Check Port”

@Boss Can’t you tell me witch platform works or is preferred? Could it be the 64bit systemts? Today re-did all the same steps but on a friends system and his network. He was on a windows 10 64 bit. I could easily join it via direct connect but the server its self was not showing up on https://servers.fivereborn.com/ or the in-game list. We again waited hours and went back to check, but the server was still not visible.

So there must be a catch here. There must be some other port or configuration that is missing. How come it works for others. Are they all paid dedicated servers? Who is the author “avail” for the server-list. Can I get in touch with him/her?

I’m willing to offer a genius bonus to the person that can help me a bit further. I’m going crazy here…

@Boss Don’t u think it’s some how restricted. The server list it self. I mean if it had to show every server on the internet running fivereborn and the changes they are not behind a firewall, would make a pretty long list. And that could explain why my server isn’t showing.

Maybe the one’s showing somehow trusted ip´s, whitelisted, something?

I have same issue here, all ports are open both on the router and windows firewall. Server is still not showing up, canyouseeme.org confirms 30120 is open.

I dont think there is a limit to the server list as when my friend starts his server it pops up on the list just fine, and mine have been running for days now.

Okay. Now we are getting somewhere :smiley: Can u elaborate on what system/specs you and your friend are running on?
Which platform and if windows is it 32or64bit?

@Areomayo I also like that this is your first post ever on this forum and already u have provided me with more information/confirmation then all of the developers and moderators combined on this post. :smiley: I like it!!! Keep it up. :dancers:

Might just be a block by your ISP.

@Boss No I dont think so. I’ve tried on multiple ISP’s and different ports and with same setup.

@Boss
My home setup ive got multiple windows, linux servers and a pfsense firewall here, my isp is not blocking ports, as canyouseeme has proved that the ports are indeed open, i even tried enabling Upnp with no luck.

Ive tried to run the server on a ubuntu server 16.04 and windows server 2012 R2 both running 64bit, both are connectable with direct connect (connecting via wan ip), but not announce on the server list.

@COndor
My friend is just running his server on a normal windows 10 64b machine, no additional configuration.

Just for clarification;

Port 30120 is open both on my firewall and isp.
Announce is set to true in citmp-server.yml

Is there anything els we’re missing here?

You are not using any secondary routers next to your modem?

@Boss

Me no, im directly connected to the internet.

What is your servers name?

@Boss
Hostname: Samcro Police [Come Join the UK Clan]

Last night I tried on a windows 8 32bit and windows 7 32bit, same result.
I’m using pfsense as well and I don’t have any additional firewalls on.
I then forced all ports to be open which is not optimal and set up a NAT reflection rule to NAT-Pure, then I started receiving a lot of packages and after a few minutes my server was visible on the servers.fivereborn.com. The port it chosen was a bit strange. :34833

So to sum this up.
Opening all ports on network resulted in visibility.
Therefor there must be additional ports that needs forwarding besides from 30120, but the question is which ones?
