I am looking at getting a VPS through https://www.ovh.com/us/vps/vps-ssd.xml
I couldn’t find server requirements for a dedicated server anywhere on this site. How would this run a FiveM server?
Fine. I run one off a 1 core 1.75gb ram vps.
According to Discord, you should be able to run ~5 Servers from that.
And there’s no lag or anything?
Nope. It’s just fine. All the server really does is relay information

We were talking about it earlier. FiveM isn’t like other game servers where you need good hardware / lots of space. It mainly needs a good internet connection and you can therefore run the service on a very basic VPS.
Gotcha. I just looked through the Discord chat and somebody said OVH got blocked?
Not that I know of? That’s the host I use along with many other active members of this community.

So if i got a VPS with say 2Core 0 2GB ram & installed windows server 2012… would that be okay?
Yes. But i’d recommend Linux because it would be a lot cheaper.
Iv’e never used linux. Im only good with GUI based OS
There are ways to do it, you can remote in with SSH or FTP so theres your file access and there are commands you can use
I would get no where haha, Only ever used Windows Server… Tried linux before and it breaks my brain.

Whats the minimum RAM & CPU Cores needed to run a FiveM Server?
Will 1Core & 1gb be good enough?
