Are you as sick as I am of seeing release after release, nothing more then a converted file or a copy of a code with the author saying.
I have no clue who the author is, but give them all the credit.
This is disgusting and should not be allowed, if they’re unable to ensure who the author is - how can they be sure the person actually wants it released to the public?
Ye. Because it’s his code right especially when all they change are variables and variable names. With that much work you would think they would really just make their own
To add to this, I do not believe this should be the responsibility of the elements however I believe that a post in the release section that’s pinned and / or something that’s “official” from them to say something like…
It’s crazy, a guy just took my drdoors code changed my name to his name and posted it on github (even tho it was the first version i posted that did not work)
I posted a message on his github and filed a dmca complaint via github staff, he removed it (or made it private), anyways i can not see it anymore.
Common people, this is a great community, if you use someone else code at least mention the original author even if you change the code. Remember it’s due to people sharing code that we learn how stuff works.
