so couchdb can only be ran on a server if your running it from your pc. we cant connect it to a paid server ???

What I am trying to do is to use a server resource that was provided the other day which uses essentialsmode with sql.
I have to admit I’m a noob when it comes to this and I’m trying my best to learn how to run my own server.

You could try seeing if your server provider can set it up for you. Or if you have a vps or dedicated server, you can install it on there. Otherwise, you would have to set CouchDB to accept any available ip.

Have a question, Setting this up for the first time. Is the DB suppose to auto populate? when i started the server the first time it say “first run detected” and it creates the EssentialMode DB, but there isn’t any data in said DB. Is this correct or is something messed up?

can someone help me out with this?
I’ve installed couchdb, installed essentialmode and all went fine, but I get this error

And the http response from http://127.0.0.1:5984/essentialmode/_find is:

Hello, i was looking through the ban list on my server and i noticed that it wasn’t unbanning people when it would be, For example there was a ban that was due to expire on 2017-05-17. That was last month, Another thing i noticed was the fact that players who were banned would always get the “Default Ban Error” on connecting to the server if they were banned. Not sure if this can be fixed. Iam using the old MySQL essential mode.

You will not receive support, update to the newer versions.

PS: The newer versions don’t have banning built in.
