If I rent a FiveM server will it be up 24/7

basically I want a server that can be up 24/7 but cant afford to do it myself if I rent a server will I still be able to mod it and will it be up 24/7 also how many people can the sserver hold?

Everything depends on the server you get, most servers you purchase will be up 24/7 as for the slots you can choose what you want.

You will still be able to mod it as you should have root access to the server.

Or buy a VPS for $5-10 a month and run it off that. Currently FiveM supports 32 slots and if you set it up correctly it will run 24/7.

You should not need to port forward using a VPS.

The VPS is its own entity entirely unconnected to your PC aside from when you connect to it with programs like FileZilla or Putty.

I suggest you read up before you buy a VPS or begin to host anything.

FileZilla/PuTTY aren’t your only options but are some of the better ones. Search VPS on the forums and you’ll find more tutorials.

ok, and should I use client or server when it gives me the option? because when I went to file zilla it had 2 different download links one for client and one for server.

download xampp control panel for ftp its super easy for ftp connection look it up to install and get it working, and you can use it for mysql and phpmyadmin and more
