I need help with this-

Maybe these can help you help me:

those are what they look like right now. if you spot an error please notify

So when starting in command prompt, this time instead of writing my c drive then Fivemserver>run.cmd + exec server.cfg I removed the space between the + and exec so it was Fivemserver>run.cmd +exec server.cfg… It seemed to have pop up more lines, asked for windows firewall, I hit “allow” but this time popped up a different error message. instead of the one i have posted above, here is what the new one looked like…

This time instead of doing just set sv_licensekey “my key” I added a + at the beginning. was that error good or no? Fivem should clear this topic up, very confusing

It’s honestly not that confusing… You just seem to be having issues for some reason? Nonetheless:

This is what it should look like in your server.cfg file:

sv_licensekey "changeme"

You said you weren’t sure if you made the key correctly? Instructions for making a key below:

  1. Go here:
    step1

  2. Click sign in
    step 2

  3. Click on New in the top left corner
    step 3

  4. Fill out the form

  5. Copy generated key and paste it inside your server.cfg file (Inside your FiveM Server Folder)

If you’re confused about the server types please see below:

[RANDOM NOTE:] I suggest uncommenting this:

# hide player endpoints in external log output
#sv_endpointprivacy true

As far as running your server, please follow the directions in the wiki: https://wiki.fivem.net/wiki/Running_FXServer
Specifically where it says:

Run the server from the server-data folder. (cd /d D:\FXServer\server-data)
D:\FXServer\run.cmd +exec server.cfg (from a new cmd window)

Im starting from my C:\ drive. ill try and give you a response

aftert the sv_maxclients 32 press enter twice

you should have something like this right at the end of ur server cfg

sv_licensekey balah blah blah u can find the key right here https://keymaster.fivem.net

Good luck

I cannot find my mistake! I did all you said, here is the error: Could not authenticate server license key

All the lines seemed to be going smooth and good, all of a sudden bam. I am so sorry for making this more complex than it has to be, I cant just seem to figure out the problem

i kindly fucking asked for a video walkthrough, clearly if you read it nothing works. instead of fucking snapping at me you can atleast help me out. seriously, shit is getting on my nerves now. why’d they even add the new key? whats the point? nobodys even willing to help…

@Venom_GMNG Go to https://keymaster.fivem.net/ create a key, pick a name then go to http://www.whatsmyip.org/ put the ip u se there in the ip slot (if it’s home hosted) then you should be fine.

… You can’t be serious…

Just. Follow. This. Walkthrough… [EXPLAINED] How to make/add a server key

I’m not snapping, i’m literally telling you that it’s piss easy to add.

  1. Many reasons why the Element’s added it.
  2. What do you think everyone has been trying to do? … No one is going to make a video when you can’t even follow simple instructions that my 5 year old sister could follow…
