Sorry I had a followup to the last one: FiveM Windows 8.1 & 7 Support So if you support 8.1 why must I see this dialog every time I start FiveM?

It is accurate, despite you not being on Windows 10. It does a check for Windows version X, and it won’t match if you’re not on that specific version or higher. That can be ignored if you aren’t having issues.

But it is A) Annoying. It slows my start. I never remember it is there. It must be processed each time I see it. and B) again not accurate. Windows 8.1 is every bit as modern and secure as Windows 10, not to mention 15% faster, and 9000% more competent. But to say it is outdated is inaccurate. 8.1 is supported until late 2023, Win10-1703 only 18 months later in early 2025 does it become outdated. The message states “You are using an outdated version of Windows.” This an inaccurate waste of my time to see 1-20 times a day.
Please aim it at the correct users. Or failing that please flood protect to only open once a week, Or failing that please make a hardcoded solution like a command line switch in the shortcut or config.ini to prevent its opening, or what ever prevents this inaccurate, delaying message from appearing.
Where are you getting that data from? “9000% more competent” sounds like some made-up shit. Windows 8.1 might be supported, but it is not the recommended OS to be using FiveM with.
Of course 9000% is made up.
Why is 8.1 not recommended? It works perfectly and runs games much much faster than 10. and that is not made up.
Because FiveM isn’t developed on 8.1, problems could and probably will happen.
You want a proper reason? Wait for an element to come by or something.
It’s not “not recommended” - it’s just Windows 10 is recommended over it if you’re having issues. Also, yeah, that’s pure speculation that Windows 8 performs better than Windows 10 in gaming. It may be true for you, but I doubt it’s the majority.
Also, I could’ve sworn I saw that there is a command line flag to disable that message, though I may be wrong. Currently trying to find it.

Scores from Passmark 8. As you can see both 10 and 16 Server are notably slower than their 8.1 counterparts. You should dev on 8.1. It is the gamers choice. Lose the dorky menu and It is 7 fast and 10 secure.
And you were right. 8.1 Pro is only 9% faster than Vista Redux(10-1703) Think I paid $500+ for my last 10% increase in speed.

Those data sheets are inaccurate and mean nothing, its a little window that pops up… Windows 10 is a much better operating system and have been proven across alot of sites.
Anyway with that aside… its not that hard to deal with.

The tests were all performed again, within 1 week of each on a single machine,using identical outfits. 10 failed to achieve any greater score than it previously had. I know this because I ran the tests personally. You all attack me because you have not tested anything.
