So I tried to load FiveM today, and it just makes my screen blink and then nothing. So I completely deleted everything I could find related to FiveM, downloaded it again, placed it in it’s own folder like it says here (https://wiki.fivem.net/wiki/Running_FiveM), But whenever I run the .exe, nothing happens except I do have a FiveM process running in the background taking 0% of my cpu… Don’t know what happened as I was just playing last night and now nothing works. Don’t have any log files unfortunately.

Try closing the FiveM process and then trying to start it again.

Very first thing I tried. Made no difference.

Should have put that in the OP.

Maybe a stupid thought, but have you tried restarting your computer? I’ve had some installation’s do some weird stuff without a reboot. Probably won’t make a difference, but I can’t think of what else it could be at the moment.

Haha, that was teh second thing I tried. Have restarted multiple times. But I appreciate the help anyway. No suggestion is stupid if it’s fixed it for somebody.

Bump.

Come on, somebody has to have an idea. This can’t be the first anybody has ever heard of this. Not with how buggy FiveM is at any given time as it is…

Please fill in the support format with the requested screenshots and logs aswell, and have you tried disabling/uninstalling your anti virus?

As stated before, I am trying to reinstall it, therefore there are no logs. And the manner in which it is behaving prohibits the use of screenshots as there is nothing really to show…

And yes, I have tried disabling my AV.

EDIT: Here is a link to what I see in Task Manager after trying to run the install .exe.

we need those(and a log) to see if your gta5/fivem is correctly installed. if you think it isnt important, then i can’t help you further.

Currently downloading/reinstalling GTA5 on the off chance that had something to do with it. When it is done, I will gladly edit the first post with screens but as I said prior,

Not much I can do on that front as it will not install, therefore there are no logs being created because there is nothing being created.

Still none to be found.

So I addded some screens…

Not sure what those can do to help. Again, I have no logs because I cannot get FiveM to even install. For some reason, the process seems to be catching on something and just stops.

To better illustrate what exactly is going on when I try to install FiveM, I have uploaded this short video to Youtube - https://youtu.be/brMPGDxI-W8

Sorry to not reply sooner. Went to bed while GTA5 was installing, then had work this morning.

Bumpity bump.

Bueller? Bueller?

Alright. I figured it out.

I had installed the RivaTunerStatisticalServer so MSI AfterBurner could show my FPS while playing Forza 7. I uninstalled that and BAM, FiveM installed right away. Guess the RiveTuner was trying to hook into FiveM, causing it to get stuck.

Thanks for the help anyway, I guess.

Yeah, most of those programs (ShadowPlay, Fraps) and overclocking utilities (MSI Afterburner, etc) can cause issues. Like you said, I don’t know if it’s because it’s trying to hook into the program and that breaks something or what. Glad you got it solved, though
