5th Generation Roleplay as a project is now in the freezer.
We are dissapointed it has come to this but two issues we were faced with were:
- We had a single developer who could only work on this in their free time which vanished this year due to business growth.
- As a community only a few were logging in daily and engaging, there was never that “spark” of new friendship groups forming.

Thank you to everyone who was involved in 5th Generation Roleplay. We might take the project out of the freezer in the future if timing and available dev resource permits but for now it is concluded.
What is this?
I am Andrew, In the real world I run an IT business and have been a big fan of roleplaying for years. Together with @K3lroy we run 5th Generation Roleplay, a brand new server for Gta:V.
Over the past 2 months we have been working on this project and have just upgraded it to run on FX Server. Having seen and done a lot of roleplay and been part of various teams on projects. We want to build a home for the “next generation” of role-players. Whether you are brand new or have been doing it for years, we want to create a drama free place where you can just immerse yourself in the stories and relationships you can build here.
With so many servers, why join 5grp?
That is true. There are many projects out there, sadly many of never reach their full potential, partly due to lack of technical skill and partly due to leadership ability, it is very hard work starting a community from new. Where we plan to be different is that we’ve done this before in other games on our own and it has worked, this is the first time all of us are teaming up for one project.
When will it be ready?
You can join the server now. Once you install the FiveM Client and run it you can then direct connect to our server located: game.5grp.com
The project was started on the 21st of May this year. Whilst we have been working on the features we have spent the last 2 months role-playing and having too much fun. During summer many are away on vacation/holiday but we are making rapid progress.
What features do you have?
Everything we are working on at the moment is bespoke. We have taken a few resources from the community but none of the resources are the same having been heavily modified. LS Customs is the only one yet to be edited.
We already have a huge backend with functional API. We are very close to disabling ScriptHook, for now feel free to use trainers when role-playing.

Before any script work is done on a feature, we as a team are planning things to the slightest detail, weighing the pros and cons. This means when scripting begins we will get it right first time. A realistic economy where your choices matter, is one of those systems we are working on.
Now some eye candy:
Custom login and registration system, links your role-play characters to your Steam account. A simple password provides additional security it also means that if you are tired of being one character you can create another and start fresh whilst holding onto your old character.
Factions and faction owned vehicles exist with locking systems.
The chat system has been completely replaced with our own version. Check out the fancy fading.
When meeting other players, you see their character name not their steam name.
On most servers, Cop NPCs are either 100% docile or have wanted level.
We’re learning how to make them react to players, in this case I tried shooting a few in the head, they did not like it…
Notice although I am being attacked, I have no wanted stars.

Just give the server a try, we’re taking a bit of a break over August but there is enough here to start role-playing with.
