[Release] Arena War DLC | Arena IPL & Location

Hey so im sure many servers could benifit from the outcome of this post once it is completed but i thought i would share my research so far and maybe @Bob_74 might want to impliment this too at a later date in his awesome resource: [RELEASE] v2: Fix holes in the map (up to After Hours)

So What is this? This post is about the new DLC arena that i am trying to find all the required IPL’s for. My aim to to make a new gamemode based on this at a later date possibly.

So far i have found the following IPL’s and the arena to be located at 2800, -3750, 125 which is about the centre of it. currently it is an incomplete arena and therefore there must me more IPL’s that need to be loaded.
currently i have found the following and i have written them in a small client script:

So How do we use the arena? Well firstly we select the interior we want this will be one of the following:

	RequestIpl("xs_arena_interior_mod_2") -- Custom 2?
	RequestIpl("xs_arena_interior_vip") -- VIP area
	RequestIpl("xs_int_placement_xs") -- Not sure yet
	RequestIpl("xs_arena_banners_ipl") -- Not sure yet
	RequestIpl("xs_mpchristmasbanners") -- Not sure yet
	RequestIpl("xs_mpchristmasbanners_strm_0") -- Not sure yet

Take the first one for example. Then we load in the “seating area” / crowds. This is done by using these four interior props:

Then we decide the “map” we would like and its type so what map type are we looking to use?

once that has been decided you can then select the map you would like (ONLY USE ONE AT A TIME AND UNLOAD THE PREVIOUS MAP/PROP FIRST:

Nice work ! Have you got any update to it ?

for each update on the script i am using i am editing my original post. For now i am still having issues trying to get the rest of the interior to load. Any ideas anyone?

nice job! have you thought about just making this into a ready to go script with all the options and a brakedown right inside of it?

nice it works you should make it were u can do /unload then name and /load name so we can have all the ipl and change it up

I would but this would be more time and i do not have much of that at the moment. Feel free to make a pull request and i will gladly merge that into master!

For some reason when I teleport to the arena, it always spawns me under the arena.in the black part. I always have to noclip up. Any suggestions?

Can you give me a screenshot of what you mean? As far as i know under the arena is water.


Spawn point is here…

I end up here.
I even tried raising the spawn point, but it doesn change anything. Even using the cooridnants in the script, I end up under neath.

Set your spawn to the side in the garage bays or near them. The track mesh always seems to load just a tad late when you spawn in

I also tried that, but I still end up under the map

do you see the textures load in after you spawn?

They seem to load in at the same time, but my position is always underneath no matter how high I set the spawn point

i would imagine the issue is that the map you want to use is loading after the player is being placed and the bit at the bottom that you land on is the only consistent texture so i would have your coords set then freeze your location for a second or so then unfreeze you should see the map spawn then you should be able to be on top of it. if you still do not spawn on top in a frozen state then you might be using a native that sets you on ground properly and this could be not seeing the map you want to use.
